WNYGS Program 'Technology to the Rescue: Free Tools Every Genealogist Needs in their Toolbox' with Linda Debbie

Program Description: Linda Debe will show ways to work smarter, not harder with free tools from programs to extensions to built-in features of their PC or Mac. These tools will help with organization, research, writing, and plotting land deeds, as well as abstracting, extracting, and transcribing records. Learn how to make your PC work for you rather than the other way around. There is something in this webinar for everyone and who doesn’t love FREE!

About the Presenter: Linda Debe is a lecturer, writer, and lifelong student with 40 years of genealogy experience. She has many genealogy passions, but she gets really excited when it comes to technology. Her motto is work smarter, not harder, and technology allows her to do just that. She has spoken to numerous genealogy audiences and has a you tube channel where she creates short technology how-to videos. She holds an AAS degree in Electronics Technology from the United States Air Force. She is an alum of ProGen 54, a coordinator for ProGen 64, and attends the National Institute for Genealogical Studies. She has attended national genealogical conferences and institutions to further her education.

Being Microsoft Office certified in Access and Excel, she applies her training by creating automated spreadsheets helping with genealogy research. Linda created a free Google calendar for genealogists to locate and register for genealogical educational opportunities. Located on her website, TheSleeplessGenealogist.com.
