WNYGS Program Ready for Release Day: Prepping for 1950 Census Research Amanda Perrine

Program Description: The 1950 census release is getting closer! When released in April of 2022, it will not be fully indexed, so now is the time to prep to find yourself, parents, and/or grandparents listed. We will offer research and organizational tips, a look at Steve Morse's website, practicing your indexing skills so that you can assist with the release, and more.

About the Presenter: Amanda Perrine began her family history search at 12 after learning her great-great-grandmother may have been a bigamist and hasn't stopped searching since. She is currently the manager at Soule Branch Library in Syracuse, where she hosts bi-weekly genealogy classes and research sessions. Amanda received her Master's in Library Science and Certificate of Advanced Study in Cultural Heritage Preservation from Syracuse University. When not at work on her genealogy she can be found with her husband and son exploring Central New York and beyond.
