This page contains important information for those individuals who are registered for both the conference and the buffet lunch on Saturday, May 3rd.

While registered individuals should have already received their electronic conference packets from the OGS Conference Committee, I wanted to pass along some helpful information about our informal WNYGS lunchtime “meet-up”.

Conference Travel

For those crossing the border, please remember to bring either a passport or your enhanced driver’s license.

2. Take Thorold Stone West Rd. (exit 32B).

3. Continue through the Thorold Tunnel where road becomes Highway 58.

5. Turn left on to St. David Rd. and follow to University.

Here are a few OGS provided resources to make you trip easier:

Brock Campus Map

>>Photograph of the main venue entrance.

Parking

The OGS Conference Committee reports there will be a Brock University Parking Pass available to conference attendees at a cash price of $10 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This pass will be good for Parking Lots B & S. Parking Lot D will charge $5 per entry.

Lunch Meet-Up Specifics

For those who registered for the Saturday lunch buffet, WNYGS members will be meeting at the Guernsey Market (located on the first floor of the Arthur Schmon Tower; see campus map above). Our meet-up will take place from 12:00-1:30 p.m. during the conference’s scheduled lunch break.

We have made arrangements with conference administrators to place special WNYGS reserved seating signs on select tables. Staff and volunteers working at luncheon registration will be able to direct you to our specially designated tables.

In closing, we look forward to seeing you there, and, on behalf of everyone at WNYGS, we are excited to be joining our friends to the north as we explore our shared histories and support “Genealogy Without Borders”.
