10:30 a.m. A Tour of St. Louis Roman Catholic Church with German Buffet Lunch at Ulrich's Tavern

The "Mother Church of the Diocese of Buffalo", St. Louis Church (35 Edward St., Buffalo) is the beautiful and beloved continental Gothic structure located in the heart of downtown. On August 25th, 1889, the Feast of Saint Louis, the first religious services were held on Main Street. In a tour lead by Michael Riester, church historian and archivist, you will experience the renowned art and architecture of this historic church. The event will also include a visit to the St. Louis Museum, a unique on-site repository of artifacts that covers the history of the parish back to its initial founding in 1829.

The tour will be immediately followed by a German buffet lunch at Ulrich's Tavern (674 Ellicott St. - one block from the church). Established in 1868, this well-known Buffalo location has the distinction of being Buffalo's oldest documented, continuously operating tavern/restaurant. Lunch will start at 1:00 PM.

The deadline for tickets is March 8, 2013. The cost is $20.00 per person including gratuity and taxes. All tickets are pre-sale and can be picked up at the door on the day of the event.
