10:30 A.M. Brief Business Meeting

11:00 A.M. Eastern European History. Rebecca Baker of Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society has a wealth of knowledge on researching your Eastern European ancestors.

Rebecca Baker is a manager at the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society and has been a freelance genealogist for over 20 years. At the Historical Society, she is currently developing an educational program for youth entitled Witnesses demonstrating the importance of genealogical primary source diaries, letters, and journals to gain insights into the challenges of today's social issues. Her previous research has been primarily concentrated in Czech, Swiss, English, Jewish, and German family history. She has attended conferences and received instruction from professional archivists at the National Archive in Prague, National Archive in Slovakia, Austrian State Archives, Virginia State Archives, Minnesota Historical Society, Western Reserve Historical Society, Stanford University, and University of Chicago. She will be teaching a session on Eastern European genealogy highlighting the Vienna War Archives, census registers, land registers, and emigration applications. Ms. Baker attended Yale University.

12:00 Noon. Break for lunch. Coffee, Tea and a light dessert will be provided.

1:00 P.M. Continuation of Eastern European History. This time will be for questions, answers and discussions.

Coming from the North, take I-190 S, take Exit 19 (Whitehaven Rd.), turn left onto Whitehaven Rd., turn left onto Baseline Rd., turn right onto Bedell Rd.

Coming from the South, take I-190N, take Exit 18A (Grand Island Blvd), continue on Grand Island Blvd., bear right onto Baseline Rd., turn right onto Bedell Rd.
